The CRYPTO quality
As a co-initiator of the quality mark for translation agencies established by the Dutch Association of Translation Agencies in 1997, Vertaalbureau Crypto was one of the first companies to be awarded the so-called Taalmerk certificate. This quality mark ceased to apply on 1 January 2010 due to the introduction of the European NEN-EN standard. As we are keen to continue to demonstrate the level of quality we offer to both existing and potential clients, we made sure that we were certified well in advance by the independent certification body KIWA Nederland B.V.
We were awarded the corresponding certificate on 1 September 2009, making us one of the
first certified translation agencies in the Netherlands. This certification is based on the quality assurance system that we have applied to all our operational processes since obtaining the quality mark in 1997.
The system has been continuously updated and extended over the years, and has now been adapted to the European NEN-EN standard 15038: Translation Services - Service Requirements.

All operational processes that impact on the production of translations are set out in writing.
In addition to our detailed translator selection criteria, we also have procedures for:
         -  the proofreading of translations, including the provision of feedback on any errors in             the source text
         -  handling confidential documents: we can provide you with a declaration of
            confidentiality if desired
         -  the certification of translations that are to be used for official purposes
         -  terminology management: if desired we will present you with a client-specific
            terminology list that you can check in order to indicate your preference for
            specific technical terms

Our clients also appreciate the fact that we work with them and alert them to any errors or inconsistencies in the source text.
